- DESPERATE CRY
- BBS PARANOICOS
The french (former Paris, now Marseilles) Industrial duo consist of Pimpox running all the electronic stuff (synths, programmation, samplers, etc.) & Pepe playing guitars and screaming. They are strongly connected to the european d.i.y. / squatting scene and tour the continent endlessly. Obviously their lyrics are dark, rough and political. We fell in love with those 2 extraordinary charming people, did many shows with them in Vienna at the EKH and co-released their 2nd album “Optima Ferox” together with the label “Maloka” from Dijon. The band is still going strong.
2002: un peu de souplesse dans les barbelés
2005: optima ferox
2010: dans le sens du poil
2011: 100 ans de carrière (21 bands covering Grrzzz songs)
2016: geriatric disaster
was a Punk / Hardcore band from Waidhofen/Ybbs (Austria, Europe) 1993-2002.
Formed by 4 school-kids with a heavy heavy-metal background then the band was called EAT MY SHORTS and played melodic Punk-Rock in the vein of BAD RELIGION, the RAMONES, ANTiSEEN and many covers. U.S. hardcore bands like DEAD KENNEDYS, MDC, NO MEANS NO (can) or MINOR THREAT were a big influence as well as german bands like BOXHAMSTERS or GRAUE ZELLEN and a serious D.I.Y.-scene in Austria of the early 90ies with KURORT or THOSE WHO SURVIVED THE PLAGUE. Later they called the band EGO.MEANS.SURVIVAL. but most of the time it was just E.M.S. anyway. They played more than 100 shows in squats and youth-centres in Austria & the neighbour countries and released several split-vinyls and tapes on various D.I.Y.-labels.
The singer also joined the viennese band RADIKALKUR in 1998 and together with their singer they started this label/mailorder BLOODSHED666 here and engaged in setting up shows for other D.I.Y.-bands at the EKH in Vienna and the youth-centre BAGGER in Waidhofen/Ybbs.
The label itself released 3 records by the band (in cooperation with other labels): a split 7″ with RADIKALKUR, a split LP with NULA (Croatia) and a split LP with BBS PARANOICOS (Chile). The split 7″ E.M.S. / RADIKALKUR was the birthday for BLOODSHED666.
Here you can find all the recordings that were ever released by the band:

During a phase of personal confusion & consolidation and a retro-romantic fit in 2009/10, Alfred Wihalm, (ex-)singer/guitar player of bands such as E.M.S., Radikalkur, Cyruss, desolat & Phal:Angst, wrote a punk rock album and recorded & arranged it with fellow punkers. This album, which is strongly influenced by young age- and still today-heroes like Bad Religion and Dead Kennedys, comprises 14 songs that come to the point quickly and pay tribute to their ancestors.
Involved were Mops Breitwieser (Brambilla, Target Of Demand, Those Who Survived The Plague, No Fish On Friday, Grant, The Rats), Uzn (Brambilla, Knallkopf), Klaus Hoffmann (Radikalkur, Cyruss) and Chri Reitmann (Brambilla, Artificial Pesticides). In 2010/11, the songs were trashed live on a harddisk without much fuss, mixed and mastered by Farid Leonhardsberger (Faradise Studios, Radikalkur). After 4 years of maturating in the cellar, it’s made accessible to the world in 2015 and called “Employee Of The Day”.
There was a lovely release party together with DIM PROSPECTS & Djs Brrrnje & Pipo on 12th June 2015 at the Arena-3-Raum in Vienna. On 9th August 2015 a solo acoustic version was performed at the Arena Beisl.
Nive doesn’t exist as a real band but was only a studio-fun-project.

DESPERATE CRY (r.i.p.)
Hardcore band from Vorchdorf (Upper Austria) 1994-2003. Inspired by metal, punk & hardcore & the political german diy-scene of the 90ies they had thoughtful political & emotional lyrics in german language and played a very intense, distinctive musical style.
Raw, metallic Crust-Punk band from Pula & Zagreb (Croatia). Mainly active 1993-2001, still play from time to time.
Probably the most popular punk band from Chile they play finest Melodycore in the vein of BAD RELIGION, DESCENDENTS or NO USE FOR A NAME since 1991.
Highly energetic, fast and tricky Hardcore band from Rio de Janeiro / Brazil. Mainly active in the early 2000s. They impressed us on their european tour 2001 and we did the split LP with them and our band RADIKALKUR. They are still a bit active and for our label compilation in 2018 they gave us a fresh recorded song.
