Las Casas Viejas are a six piece epic-atmospheric rock band from Austria and Germany featuring members of Fake Empire und La Ligne Maginot. Drawing influences from postrock, sludge, doom and blackmetal. Also we are a group of people who decide to share their music, art and thoughts with anyone who wants to have a part of it knowing that to release art in any form means to take part in a social process and for that having some kind of responsibility. So this is not only a platform where people can consume our music, artwork or words, it`s also supposed to be a statement. And talking about statements, just to be sure, if you`re some kind of racist, fascist, homophobic jerk, sexist or macho asshole please leave this site straight away. This is not about sounding dogmatic or cool or taking profit out of labelling any political views, I just think that we live in a very complicated and unfair world and it is necessary to stand in for humanity and human rights for everyone specially when you`re in such a privileged situation like we are. I hope you enjoy the music, read the lyrics and that we could help making you enjoy your day with the things we’re doing.
