The Time That Remains is a 2009 semi-biographical drama film written and directed by Palestinian director Elia Suleiman. The film stars Ali Suliman, Elia Suleiman, Saleh Bakri and Samar Qudha Tanus. It gives an account of Palestinian life under Israeli occupation. Suleiman participated in the 2009 Cannes Film Festival, as his new film competed in the official selection category.[1] The Time That Remains was also screened at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival. In November 2009, the film won the Jury Grand Prize (with About Elly) at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. The film won the Critics Prize of the Argentinian Film Critics Association at Mar del Plata International Film Festival.
Plot
The Time That Remains (2009) is a semi-biographical film that follows Palestinian life from 1948 to the present day through the story of director Elia Suleiman's family. The plot is divided into four episodes that depict the filmmaker's father, Fouad Suleiman, as a resistance fighter in 1948, the struggles of his family under Israeli military rule in the 1960s, and finally, Elia's own experiences as an adolescent and adult. The film uses a comedic and surreal style to portray the daily life, absurdities, and humiliations of Palestinians living as a minority in their own homeland.

How do power, privilege, and hierarchy shape the ways we work, communicate, and make decisions together? This workshop invites anyone interested in systemic change and in exploring what it means to create non-hierarchical structures.
We will examine questions such as:
How to take responsibility for one's privilege and use it to support relationships, group dynamics, and even the world? And what happens when I don’t do that?
Where do hierarchies and power dynamics originate, and how can we address them consciously?
Why do so many collectives struggle to embody the ideals of equality and shared leadership?
Through reflection, dialogue, and experiential exercises, you will gain insights into how your own position and privileges influence collaboration, conflict resolution, and decision-making. Together, we will explore how to use rank and privilege to support connection and collective well-being—and what unfolds when we don’t.
Join us for a space of awareness, honesty, and practice—where we can uncover what’s hidden in the shadows of our behaviors and experiment with new ways of relating.

Der Infomaden befindet sich im Erdgeschoß des EKH, Wielandgasse 2-4, 1100 Wien. Von der Gudrunstraße aus ist es die erste Tür rechts, direkt mit großen Schild über der Tür, auf dem sich nicht mehr ganz korrekte Öffnungszeiten finden. Dahinter ist erstmal ein Gang (der manchmal für Ausstellungen genutzt wird) und dann kommt die eigentliche Infomadentür, die meistens zu ist (damits nicht zieht). Einfach fest klopfen wenn das der Fall ist. Ist die EKH-Tür offen kannst du auch dort reinstapfen.
Leider ist der Infomaden überhaupt nicht barrierefrei. Bist du mit einem Rollstuhl unterwegs helfen wir gern über die drei Eingangsstufen.
Plenum
Unser Plenum findet in der Regel einmal im Monat statt. Hast du ein Anliegen oder möchtest gern beim Infomaden mitmachen, kannst du gerne dort vorstellig werden. Am Besten schreibst du davor ein Mail, oder schaust zu den Öffnungszeiten vorbei, dann können wir dich warnen falls kein Plenum stattfindet.

Was sind Infoläden?
Die Bandbreite der in Infoläden vertretenen Inhalte reicht von Flüchtlingspolitik und Antifaschismus über Feminismus und Gender bis hin zu Repression, Knast und Gefangene, soziale Kämpfe, linksradikale Politik im Allgemeinen, Globalisierung, sowie Internationalismus, Antinationalismus, Drogen, (Sub-) Kultur und vielem mehr (wobei die Reihenfolge nicht hierarchisch und abschließend gemeint ist).
Infoläden werden genutzt und getragen von Menschen mit unterschiedlichsten politischen Überzeugungen aus dem undogmatischen linksradikalen Spektrum. Hier wurden und werden Informationen zumeist in Form von Zeitschriften, Broschüren und Flugblättern aber auch Büchern, Videos und Ton- und Datenträgern gesammelt, diskutiert und verbreitet. Die Arbeit umfasst aber auch die Organisation und/oder Teilnahme von Aktionen, Veranstaltungen und Demonstrationen zu unterschiedlichen Themen und die Platzierung linker Inhalte und Debatten in der Öffentlichkeit.
