3rd album from one of currently most popular Macedonian acts. Signature new wave/post-punk sound with strong danceable basis, though less funky and broken as before. Plus strong and remarkable female voice shouting political lyrics.

Raw Brasilian crustcore with a bit of death/thrash influence and dark roaring vocals.

(DIY cooperation, 2012)

Kain from Linz play brilliant epic Neo-Crust that is a bit blackened on occasion. Three band members sharing vocal duties, some sound samples. Single-sided 12” with a white screen print on the blank side.

 

MASS GENOCIDE PROCESS – “Poetry of the Damned”

(Miruus Levyt, 2013)

You might remember this Czech band from their 2003 split EP with DRESCHFLEGEL. This is their last recording made before the band broke up in 2008. Desperate metallic scandi-crustcore influenced by bands like WARCOLLAPSE, BOMBRAID, WOLFPACK etc. Thick gatefold sleeve, grey vinyl and a download card included.

 

RIVERS RUN DRY / TYRANNICIDE – split

Two times raging, aggressive and dark, crust influenced hardcore from Hungary and Netherlands. For fans of FROM ASHES RISE and CATHARSIS, respectively.

RISPOSTA comes from a village near Brno, Czech Rep. - 5 songs of witty and original crusty hardcore with two vocals and great lyrics, ROXOR are from the far East of Slovakia and sound more raw – pure Scandi/Jap crustcore slaughter.

SHEEVA YOGA – “Svět ten čert vem”

(DIY cooperation, 2012)

Forget the old and experimental records of this band. SY are from Ostrava (CZ) and play crazy but now much more straightforward powerviolence/fastcore with smart, yet still funny lyrics. For fans of SPAZZ or early GRIDE.

 

XAXAXA – “Siromashni i Bogati”

(Napravi Zaedno, 2012)

XAXAXA from Skopje, Macedonia, is an offshoot of BERNAYS PROPAGANDA and this is their 2nd LP. Minimalist cover art, recognizable HÜSKER DÜ, DAG NASTY, WIPERS, RITES OF SPRING influenced sound and lyrics sung in Macedonian with recurring themes addressing unfair differences between people, imposed social norms, and carelessness of those who hold the power.

Debut 7" from this band from Amsterdam members of BETERCORE, GRINDING HALT, HYSTERIA, TYRANNICIDE, SANDCREEK MASSACRE, SLOTH and DAMAGE REPAIR. 6 songs of angry and fast HC in the tradition of "Nedertrash" and with a good old "Punk is Resistance" spirit.

Female fronted blackened crust/sludge from Timisoara (one of very few Romanian HC bands ever released on vinyl btw.) vs. stoner metal from Serbia.

RISPOSTA from Brno are a proof that even crust can be played in an original way and have smart or even poetic lyrics. On the other side, Brazilian DEFY show the traditional 90’s crustcore pattern with straight-forward political lyrics.

Two times fast & rawww from Brasil! DEFY from Sao Paulo (formed 2008) play typical 80’s/90’s noisy political crustcore. TERROR REVOLUCIONÁRIO are form Brasilia DC, have been around since 1999 and play dirty crustcore too, with some extra thrash and grindcore influence. Beautiful coloured vinyl.

SVART FRAMTID - "1984"

First ever official re-issue of the one and only EP by Norwegian SVART FRAMTID after 27 years. Icon of Norwegian hardcore/punk of the 80's. Six explosive tracks of angry mid-paced punk with witty ideas, raw & wild vocals yet still full of unobtrusively catchy and raging melodies that partially also constituted a trademark of the style of the SF members' later bands: KAFKA PROCESS, SO MUCH HATE etc. Lyrics create a rough picture of the space-time of their origin: cold war and daily threat of nuclear conflict, billions wasted on armament, omnipresent influence of religion, shitty factory jobs and the future remains black.
